Sheriff James Stuart was one of two law enforcement leaders recognized on January 9 by Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County.
Stuart received the Healthy Body, Healthy Mind award, which is given to individuals who promote the philosophy that mental health is as important as physical health. The award was presented at the organizations annual meeting at the Bunker Hills Activities Center.
The other honoree was Columbia Heights Police Chief Scott Nadeau.
They were chosen for the honor for their leadership in raising mental health issues in law enforcement.
